RRB ALP & Technician Jobs Details CEN 01/2018The number of recruitment is very much but the applications will also be filled accordingly. RRB ALP & Technician New Exam Pattern 2018:
Stage of Exam: RRB will conduct exam online for ALP & Technician. As per notification, there shall be two stages of examination (First Stage CBT and Second Stage CBT) Common for ALP and Technician. Apart from this, candidates who have filled application for ALP and qualified in first and 2nd stage of CBT have to appear for Computer Based Aptitude Test (AT), Marks will be normalised in all stages of exam.
Negative Marking: The advertisement clearly states that the numbers will be cut for the wrong answer that means negative marking system will also be followed in the examination. 1/3rd of the marks allowed for each question will be deducted for wrong answer. There shaal be no negative marking in Computer Based Aptitude Test (AT).

RRB ALP & Technician First Stage CBT is of screening nature and the standard of the question for First CBT will be purely in conformity with the educational standard and or minimum technical qualification prescribed for the post. The score of first CBT will be used only for shortlisting of candidates for second stage CBT exam as per merit. |
Railway Loco Pilot First CBT Syllabus 2018:
The questions will be of objective type with multiple choices and are likely to include question pertaining to:
- Mathematics: Number System, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ration and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and work, Time and Distance, Simple and compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square Root, Age Calculations, Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern etc.
- General Intelligence and Reasoning: Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and decision making, Similarities and differences, Analytical reasoning, Classification, Directions, Statement – Arguments and Assumptions etc.
- General Science: The syllabus under this shall cover Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences of 10th standard level.
- General Awareness on Current Affairs in Science & Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics and any other subjects of importance.
